A Weekend With My Valentines

Friday was Valentine's Day, and while we are not huge celebrators of the holiday (thank goodness) Shane and I did exchange gifts and got the boys a little treat.

Saturday morning, bright and early we were at the ball fields ready to watch Casen play some baseball. He was asked by the 7U team to guest play a tournament with them this weekend. (Apparently there are only two kids on Casen's 8U team who, age wise, are even eligible to play on the 7U team.) Since his own team was not playing this weekend nor have they had the opportunity to practice on a field due to wet weather the past month, it was a great opportunity for him. While the weather was cold, it was beautiful and sunny! He had two games back to back which they won both. It was nice that they were both early so we had the rest of the afternoon to do some things at home.

Saturday afternoon, Color Me Mine texted and said the boys pottery pieces were ready, so we went and picked them up. They turned out pretty awesome!!!!

Sunday morning, Casen was back at Ballpark USA playing another game. Camden really did not want to go, so we sat in our pajamas and enjoyed watching it on our TV at home. Gotta love technology!!!

They won that game, and the championship game was scheduled for noon, of course the same time Camden had a PDF game scheduled. Since the PDF games are normally not overly intense and are not his 'real' team, Camden had no problem with his best friend's parents picking him up and taking him to his game while I headed to Baseball USA to watch the championship game. As a matter of fact, Camden was hoping and praying that Casen would play in the championship game so that he could go to Cole's house after his PDF game. :)

Casen's team ended up winning the tournament, so I was so glad I was able to be there. The coach was pleased with his performance and told Shane that anytime Casen didn't have a tournament with his 8U team, he would love for him to play with his team.
