Art Exhibit

We started the weekend off with some flag football last night. I love watching flag football and am glad Casen has joined this particular team. They have been doing well and playing great together.

This morning we headed out to the soccer field to watch a few games of soccer.

Camden chose art as his elective this year and has really been enjoying it. Last week he came home and told us that he and one other 6th graders art work was chosen to be displayed in the Lone Star Community College Library. After his soccer games today, we headed out to see his art work. To say I was surprised was an understatement. I am not sure what I was expecting, but what I saw was by far better than what I imagined. He said the assignment was to choose a knot and draw it with charcoal. He said his picture is displayed upside down, but regardless I was very proud of his artwork. He has come a long way with his art skills.

I can't wait to see what else my artistic boy does in the future!!

HOCO parade

Not only is today Shane's birthday, but it is also Tomball Memorial's homecoming parade and for the first time, both boys participated. At Camden's school, the students who get to ride or walk with the float are 6th graders who are voted by a teacher to be able to represent the school during the parade. Fortunately, Camden was nominated by one of his teachers. For Casen's school, any 4th grader who wants to participate may do so, so he also walked by his float.

Happy Birthday Shane!
