Another Week of Camps

Every summer one of our local churches, Lakewood UMC, has a big summer camp program where you can pick from multiple summer camps to keep your kiddos occupied. When their booklet came out in April, the boys and I sat down and they chose what camp they wanted to attend. Casen's first choice was the dance camp they had where you learn dances to Disney songs, however it was scheduled for the end of July when the boys have soccer camp. So his next choice was an All-Star Sports Camp.

Camden's first choice was a Lego and Robotics camp and luckily, both boys were scheduled for the same dates as well as the same time.

They have had a great time this week at their camps. Casen has learned a lot of new fun games and Camden has learned a lot about robotics. Today Camden had a show and tell when we dropped him off for his last day. He made a frog yesterday that 'hops' and he was so excited to be able to share his creation with us.

Picking Blueberries

Several months ago a friend of mine told my about Chmmielewski's Blueberry Farm and I knew then that I wanted to take the boys when the picking was right. With the rain we have had the past few days, apparently it is a good time to go picking. So yesterday we woke up and were headed out the door by 7:30am to go pick some blueberries. I didn't tell the boys where we were going so as to surprise them. Once we got there, Camden did not seemed thrilled with the idea of picking blueberries at all, however Casen, who is my adventurer, was excited. Once we got to picking, Camden started having fun and we ended up picking blueberries for an hour and a half.

Today, Casen and I made blueberry muffins with our fresh blueberries and then we froze the rest in anticipation of making other great goodies in the future.

Art Camp

This week Camden attended Art Camp at his art teacher's house. Mrs. Easton held a week long camp where they did paper mache, art with food, tie dye, weaving and other fun things.  Camden was thrilled that there were boys in his class since last year he was the only boy. Since today was the last day, he brought home all of the fun things he worked on throughout the week.

Happy 6th Birthday Casen

Well another year has gone by and I now have a 6 year old! This morning when I wished Casen happy birthday and asked him if he felt any older, his response was, "Yeah, I fell like about nine." Ha!!!

Even though it is a 'non party year' we still pick a theme and try to do something fun. This year, Casen wanted a Star Wars theme for his birthday and after wavering back and forth, decided he wanted to go to Bounce Bounce to celebrate and wanted to invite Mason and Braden to go, along with his other cousins Gavin and Malachi. So this morning we gathered everyone up and headed to Bounce Bounce for some fun.

Afterwards. we headed over to his restaurant of choice, CiCi's (insert eye roll) and had pizza.

We then headed back to the house to have cake and open presents. After scouring Pinterest, Casen decided on a KitKat cake for his birthday cake. Easy and yummy for the win!

A big thank you to the cousins who came to celebrate Casen and make his day special. He had a great time!

Mason's Graduation Weekend

The weekend he has been looking forward to all year is finally here - Mason's graduation!!!

My parents as well as my family all headed to College Station yesterday for the graduation ceremony. I love that Mason graduated on the campus of where he is headed to start his college career in the Fall.

Headed to graduation!

Today, Mason and Kelsi (his longtime girlfriend) had a joint party at Kelsi's house to celebrate. Good food and even better company was a great way to spend the afternoon celebrating the both of them. Kelsi is headed off to Central Oklahoma to play soccer and study elementary education while Mason is headed to Texas A&M to study mechanical engineering.
