A Nice Surprise

As you may recall, Camden loves wearing his Crocs - especially because Grandpa Key wears them. When Grandpa comes to visit, or if Camden goes to visit him, he HAS to wear his crocs. Previously, Grandpa gave Camden some of his own jibbitz to put on his Crocs, and Grandma bought him a Mickey Mouse and soccer one. Well, don't you know, Grandpa had new jibbitz on his Crocs that Camden had not seen, and of course Camden kept commenting on them to Grandpa. When we arrived home today, Grandpa had left his jibbitz on the counter for Camden. To say the least, Camden was thrilled. I could not put them on his shoes fast enough. He realized that he did not have enough room for the old ones as well as the new ones, so he decided to give one of his old ones to Casen. He loves his baby brother!

A Fun Filled Weekend

My dad will be having his second knee replacement soon, so he and my mom wanted to come and see their grandsons doing what they love to do - play soccer. So they came on Friday so that they could see Mason perform with the Tomball Memorial Band. We all went to the football game and enjoyed some Friday Night Lights.

On Saturday, Camden had his second soccer game (since last Saturday was rained out) and he played awesome!!! I think he ended up scoring six or seven goals. My parents as well as Melissa, Mason and Braden came to watch him play and he was thrilled they were there.

That afternoon we went and watched Braden play soccer, which he did great and was fun to watch. Then the whole family went and ate at our favorite Mexican restaurant and then went back to Melissa's to celebrate Mason's 15th birthday.

After going to church Sunday, we went and watched Mason play soccer - can I say I LOVE watching the big boys play. They are so aggressive and exciting to watch.

A Day Off From School

On Monday, Casen had allergic shiners and was fighting his allergies. I did not think too much of it and just made sure he received his allergy medicine. Again, when he woke up yesterday, he had extra eye boogers, however his eye were not matted shut as if he had pink eye. So off to school he went. They called me mid morning telling me he was having a lot of drainage from his eyes so I stopped and got some allergy eye drops and took them to school and put them in his eyes. By 2:15, I was called and asked to take him to the doctor because they felt it was pink eye. (Apparently they have already had two cases at his school). So off to the doctor we went and sure enough, the doctor diagnosed him with conjunctivitis. So that bought us each a day off from school today.

Pretty pink eyes
He was having a rough morning, but around 10:30 he fell asleep on the floor and took about a 45 minute nap. When he woke up, he was a new, pleasant boy!

We enjoyed our day off together and it was enough time for his eyes to look much better so that we could go back to school tomorrow. Luckily, this was a fast and easy thing to get over!

Fall Soccer Has Begun

Camden started soccer practice this week, and he was so excited! He is once again a member of the Blue Crocs, which this will be his third season with his friends. Today was his first game and I will tell you, at first, I wondered if he remembered what he was supposed to do. He was more excited to socialize with his friends, but by the second half he finally got back into the swing of things!

Always has his tongue sticking out

Grandparent's Day

My boys are very fortunate to have two sets of awesome grandparents!!! Today was Grandparent's Day at school and the boys were so excited that their Nana and Poppa Ron were able to come and celebrate with them at school.
The Invitation
They brought the boys Happy Meals from McDonald's and ate lunch with them and then read them a book. I think the pictures pretty much say it all!

Unfortunately, my parents were not able to attend as they are traveling right now, but they are not forgotten!
