Emerald Baseball

Today marked opening day of the Spring 2018 baseball season for Casen. While he is playing baseball, Camden is playing soccer. He is playing farm league this year and is on the Emeralds. He starts coach pitch this year, and Shane is one of the assistant coaches. Casen enjoys baseball and is very focused while playing. He had a great game today getting on base each time he was up to bat! All that practice with his daddy is paying off!

Proud Aggie Aunt

Today my nephew, Mason, announced his commitment to Texas A&M where he was accepted into the engineering program. Can I tell you, despite the fact that I attended the University of Texas, I could not be more proud of him and his choice. As an adult, and basically living in the middle of Aggie Land, I appreciate all the traditions and camaraderie that A&M holds. In this day and age, it is not easy to get into a 'big school' so am so proud of him and the work he has done over the years to get him to this point. We can't wait to see what the future hold for him!

Birthday Celebration Round #2

Today Camden got to celebrate his birthday again with Shane's family. His parents, as well as his sister and her family came over and we had barbecue and of course another cookie cake (the real deal this time)!  He has had a great birthday, receiving lots of different science experiment kits (which he is really into right now), money, books and a chair for his "office".

Camden's 8th Birthday

8 YEARS OLD!!!! I honestly don't know how time is flying by so fast. I am fairly certain he just started walking and wearing big boy underwear!! I am not certain how we are celebrating 8 great years of this boy being in our lives, but I am so grateful for him, his great sense of humor and could not be more proud of the person he is growing in to.

Since his birthday fell on a Sunday this year, I ate with him on Friday at school. He did not want me to bring cupcakes or cookies to celebrate with his classmates - yet another sign of him growing older (sniff sniff), however he did sit snuggled up right next to me and gave me plenty of hugs while I was there.

Yesterday, Aunt Melissa, Mason and Braden watched the boys play their basketball games. It was a great game for them to watch of Camden's because they were playing an undefeated team (who beat Camden's team already) and they pulled out an awesome win, beating them 38-24!

Later that day, we took two of his best friends and headed to a trampoline park for them to run around and have some fun. He really enjoyed just spending time with his two best buds. After wards we took the to CiCis for pizza. Camden loved every minute of his day!

Casen, Cole and Camden

Such a sweet card from his friend, Cole.
Today, we got up, went to church, ate some lunch and then came home and Camden opened his presents and we enjoyed some homemade cookie cake.

Camden was so excited to get 'Spots' - that boy
loves stuffed animals (even ones with pink noses
and glitter ears. :)
