Date Night - Roll Tide

This evening, Shane and I got to go on a date. Can I tell you I don't even know when the last time we went on a date was? Obviously that means it has been entirely too long! Thankfully Melissa and Shawn agreed to watch the boys for us so we could go out. Now, as you can imagine, it was related to sports, but that is okay, it is something we both enjoy. The University of Alabama Alumni has a Houston chapter and they gather at the 'Fox and the Hound Restaurant/Bar' to watch the football games. Since the game today was the SEC championship and would basically decided if UA would go the the National Championship game or not, Shane really wanted to watch it in the company of UA fans. I guess it just isn't the same watching it at home with a crying baby and a little boy who wants you to play this or that with him or read this book to him, etc.  : ) So we headed to the Fox and the Hound and joined about 100 or so other fans and enjoyed watching Alabama pull it out and beat the Georgia Bulldogs. They had door prizes, played the fight song and other songs that are normally played at the football games, so it made you feel like you were there. We had a great time, and I look forward to another date! We definitely need to make it a point to get out by ourselves more!!
