While Camden was away on his mission, Casen attended his first ever Speed and Power camp at school. They offer the camp all summer long for the students who are in athletics to help prepare them for the upcoming sports season. Casen plans on playing football and basketball, so he is currently working out in preparation for football season. He comes home tired and worn out, but seems to be loving it. Shane sent me the following picture earlier this week - looks like the cat and dog are worn out too!
Casen's 12th birthday was Friday and despite Camden being gone, he still wanted to open presents and celebrate. We allowed him to open one gift in the morning and then had him wait until later in the day to open the rest once Nana and Poppa Ron, who came to watch him play ball, arrived.
For his birthday, Casen asked for a new watch, a bible, shoes and a Yappy bracelet. I had no idea what a Yappy bracelet is, but it is a bracelet that you can tap your phone to and it will give you a new bible verse every day.
Casen enjoys a good fan, especially a hand held one he can use while outside watching sports. While I was in Round Rock I found the perfect fan. :) It is a minion fan that requires zero batteries! He found it rather funny when he opened it.

While Casen played baseball on Saturday, Camden made his way home from Lubbock. He had a good time and enjoyed his week serving others. We received a few pictures throughout the week from one of his leaders.
