Camden has been ready to run another 5K for awhile now, so as we did last year, we signed up for the Candy Cane Fun Run. This year our whole family was able to attend, as well as Melissa and her family and her sister-in-law, Valerie, and her family. This year Shane ran with Camden and me while Melissa and Shawn watched Casen. (Melissa is scheduled to run a half marathon tomorrow, so was not able to run with us today.) We had a great time as we did last year, thankfully it was much warmer and Camden improved on his time. Last year he finished it in 45:18 and this year he finished in 36 minutes 29.1 seconds!!!

After the race we hurried home to visit Santa who was visiting our neighborhood. While Camden was thrilled to sit on Santa's lap, we could not say the same for Casen. He would not even dream of leaving Shane's arms, tears and all.
We then went home, had Camden change into his soccer clothes and headed to watch him play some indoor soccer.
He is playing for Usoccer - and is playing on the U-6 team. He played U-5 for one week, but when he was the biggest kid on the team and there really did not seem to be a challenge for him, we moved him up. It is fun watching the non-stop action.
Today he played goalie part of the time, which was a whole new position for him. He did pretty good for not ever playing that position before except in our living room.
It was a fun filled, active, busy day, but we wouldn't have it any other way!
