A Month Full of Sports

Aside from work and school, we have been living and breathing sports. Our weeks pretty much consist of Camden having cross country practice Monday through Thursday morning before school and then soccer practice on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Casen has baseball practice on Mondays and Wednesdays (same nights as flag football practice so he was unable to go), however he instead chooses to go to youth night at church on Wednesdays, so misses Wednesday night baseball practice. We have had flag football games and soccer games every weekend, and baseball tournaments every other weekend. Honestly, I love watching the boys play sports and wouldn't have it any other way.

We started the month heading to Austin to watch Camden and his team play in the Labor Day Cup.

Once we got home, the boys headed off to ride their scooters, but returned home once they started seeing something fall from the sky that we had not seen since June. As you can tell from our yard, we were in dire need of rain and were glad to see it.

The next weekend while Camden and I headed to Dallas for the day for a soccer game, Casen and Shane stayed back since Casen had two flag football games and he needed to be at the field for warm ups before we would have been back. Fortunately, Camden and I were able to make both games on our way home from Dallas.

Our next weekend consisted of a flag football game Friday night as well as a baseball tournament that was supposed to be at Baseball USA, however due to the rain, was moved to Rosenberg. Camden's XC meet on Friday night as well as his soccer game on Saturday were unfortunately cancelled due to rain, so Shane's parents and Uncle Ira, who drove to watch both boys play, were only able to watch Casen play.

Last weekend, Camden would have had a XC meet on Saturday morning, however he and I instead traveled to San Antonio for the day for a soccer game, while Casen played a baseball tournament in Montgomery. His team ended up coming in second place.

This past weekend, Casen had a tournament in Waller while Camden had a weekend off.

Despite spending the vast majority of our time at the fields this month, we did have a few other fun highlights:

Casen's choir ice cream social

Casen lost another tooth

I attended a Pink concert with my friend Sarah and would highly recommend anyone to go and see her if given the opportunity. She exudes so much positivity and energy!
