November Highlights and Thanksgiving 2023

November has been busy with school events, soccer, flag football and basketball. We started out the month with Casen and I participating in a Wild Goose Chase at his school. This was an activity put on by the math teachers where we had to run around the school, figuring out different math problems and doing certain activities all with in a 30 minute time. We had a good time and found out that we are pretty good team mates! Here are some of the pics from our Goose Chase:

This year Casen is playing basketball with Alodia and his practices and games are at Salem Lutheran Church in Tomball.  His age group is 5th and 6th graders, so despite him being the tallest on his team, there are at least one or two kids on pretty much every team that is bigger than him. The first game he played, he had to guard a kid who is 5'7" and 168 lbs.

Flag football has been going well, however he has had to play a few games in some rather horrible weather situations. I have remained in the car for a few games since I do not appreciate the rain and 30 degree temps. I know it is hard to tell with these pics, but my boy is in shorts in both of these pics. I have no idea how he and his team manage to play in such cold, wet conditions, but they do!

This year for Thanksgiving we went to Kerrville Monday through Friday and Melissa's family came on Wednesday. It was a wet week and we spent a lot of time indoors, but any chance they could get, the boys went and played pickleball. We celebrated Thanksgiving down in the barn and it was delicious.
