January Happenings

We are getting back in the swing of things with soccer practice and baseball practice starting back up. This season, Camden still has soccer practice on Mondays and Wednesdays, while Casen has baseball practice Wednesday and Thursdays and then sometimes on weekends or other days if needed until they start playing games.

Casen has been a social butterfly lately and has been doing things with a few boys who he has known from school. Evan, who was in Casen's class in first grade, is now in his class this year. His mom has invited Casen over to their house to hang out and during Christmas break he went to a drive in movie with them at a local church. They recently went out to eat and then bowling and didn't get home until closet to 11:30pm. It sure is a good thing Shane stays up late because I was on the struggle bus staying up until he got home! He also went to Top Golf with one of his other classmates for his birthday.

Camden had a scrimmage against the 13U girls gold team. He was not looking forward to playing the girls  and his stomach was a hot mess prior to going to the game (due to nerves). The first thing I noticed when they started warming up was that the girls had boobs!!! Holy cow, since these girls are two years older than Camden it won't be long before his friends start looking like that . . . this momma is not ready for all of that!!!!

The team and Camden played well and much to our surprise, he played against my sister's niece, Lauren (not pictured).

Over Christmas break, I took the boys for their eye exams. Camden's vision decreased a whole diopter. Bless his heart, I think he has ended up with my horrid vision. This was Casen's first eye exam and despite him telling me he could see just fine, he did end up needing glasses. They finally came in this week and he was quite shocked when he put them on and could see so clearly! Welcome to the Four Eyes Club Casen!

Tonight, Camden lost his first molar. He just noticed it being loose a few days ago, so I was surprised he was ready to pull it. Apparently, it was ready because there is already another tooth coming in its place.
