A Busy But Fun Day

I absolutely love watching my boys do something they love - which one of those things happens to be soccer. Today marked the beginning of yet another soccer season and I was ready to see their progression from last soccer season.

Casen's team is the Blue Skyraiders and Camden's team is Madrid. Casen took the field first thing this morning and he played like a champ. Bless his heart, between the heat and his hustling and scoring goals, he was soaking wet with sweat by the time the game was over.

Luckily after the game we went to a birthday party at Sub Zero Ice Cream and got to cool off with some great ice cream. The boys had a great time playing with liquid Nitrogen, and I am not gonna lie, I did too!!

We headed home for just a bit before heading to Camden's game. He also played awesome and scored several goals. It really is fun watching his progression and love for the game. Thankfully, the 'sheep herding' soccer days are pretty much over for him. We are finally to the point where passing and playing like a team are important. I honestly wasn't ever sure this point would come - I mean I know they have to start somewhere, but I am glad that is in the past. We also had a great surprise when Ms.Caroline came and watched Camden's game.

We love our Ms. Caroline!!!
After Camden's game we headed over to Cypress Gymnastics for Nina's (Camden's great friend from daycare) birthday party. The boys had a great time playing on all of the gymnastic equipment and expending whatever energy they had left after the busy day we had. Apparently, I did not get one picture from her birthday party (probably because I was trying to recover from about sweating to death at Camden's game).

We definitely are back in the swing of things - and so far are loving every minute of it!
