Last month, with much encouragement from Shane and me, Camden stepped out of his comfort zone and tried out for basketball. He did not anticipate making the team since he has not played in several years, however we felt it would be a good opportunity for him to at least try since he has several friends that we knew would be on the team. He made the first cut, which he was excited about, however he did not end up making the team. His coach approached him after tryouts and asked him if he would be a team manager to assist during practices, film games and practice with the team. Camden decided that being able to practice more with the team would help his basketball skills if he decided to try out again next year so he agreed to be a manager. The teams first game was December 1st and for home games, they all dress for success. If you know Camden, you know he is none too thrilled about wearing a dress shirt, tie and dress shoes, but did what is required and looked handsome doing it!
This weekend was Casen's winter season flag football playoff tournament. He had a game Saturday morning at 9:00, which they won, and then again at 11:00 which they lost and in turn moved them to the silver bracket. They then played Sunday at 1:00, which they won and then ended up winning the championship game at 4:00.
I have sooooo loved watching Casen play flag football and am sad that this will most likely be our last season of flag since he is going to move on to tackle football in the fall. Eeeekk!!!
