The Remnants of Football

As a woman and a mom, I am often intrigued as to why anyone would want to play a sport where they get beat up. While I fret that people are going to think we are abusing him and call CPS, Casen just chalks it up as the battle scars you get from playing football.

His arm is purple from top to bottom

You can see the fingerprints from
where other boys grab him.

Nana and Poppa Visit

The boys had a weekend full of sports, and Nana and Poppa came to get in as much of their games as possible. We started the weekend with Camden having a soccer game in the morning, which they won.

The fall baseball season started for Casen this past weekend. In the afternoon, we headed to the baseball fields to watch Casen and his Scorpions team play at 4:00 and 8:00.

Casen hit a homerun, which is always so dang exciting!

We unfortunately did not get a picture of Casen with his homerun ball, because we never found it. It was dark when he hit it and it landed in the woods/brush. Shane and Poppa did attempt to look for it after the game, but were unable to locate it.

Casen was named player of the game. :)

On Sunday, we headed back to the soccer fields to watch Camden play another soccer game.

On Tuesday, Casen had a football game against Magnolia Parkway. He pretty much played the entire game. playing both half back on offense and line backer on defense.

Camden is currently in floral design at school and he brought home his first arrangement! Good thing I took a picture because not long after this, while we were gone to a game, the cat decided she liked the bow and chewed it to pieces!

Fall Sports Have Begun

This week kicked off the fall sports season. Casen made the 8th grade A team and had his first football game Wednesday night. While they did not win, it was fun to see Casen back playing football.

Camden's fall soccer season started this weekend and he had a game yesterday and today. They lost some of the players they had last year and gained some new ones. I must say, they looked pretty good this weekend and won both their games. They appear to be off to a great start to the season!

Today's game was played in the pouring rain!

I am looking forward to watching the boys play the games they enjoy!
