Today we celebrated the resurrection of our Lord and had a great time doing it! On Friday we dyed Easter eggs - or should I say attempted to dye Easter eggs. This was our first year to dye eggs because honestly, up until this point I did not want to deal with the mess that two little boys could create with dye and boiled eggs. So I thought I would be smart and buy decorative eggs that you can pretty much throw across the room and they will not break - perfect!!! Well the concept is perfect, but the fact that they float when placed in the dye and really do not dye at all, regardless of how long you keep them in the dye, make them not so perfect. So on Saturday we tried a different type of dye, that still did not work, so instead we painted them! The boys enjoyed the painting, and they got to be creative with it, so all in all it was a win win!!!

The boys were so excited this morning to see what the Easter Bunny brought them. They couldn't get downstairs quick enough. Luckily, the Easter Bunny knew they needed pajamas and of course brought a toy and candy.
Camden and Casen had been looking out the windows since day light trying to see the eggs that the Easter Bunny hid outside for them. They were convinced that he didn't leave any because they did not see any in our yard, or anyone else's yard when we were going to church. Camden was questioning on the way home from church if there really was an Easter bunny and after hunting eggs, he asked me if I had ever seen him and made me describe what he looked like. Really? You are only 6!!! Once we got home from church and ate some lunch we then went outside to hunt the eggs that they were convinced were not there. : )

After spending a fun day hunting eggs and then playing ball all day in the front yard, we made our own mini pizzas for supper. It was a good quality time, fun filled day! The only thing I regret about this day was not thinking to get the selfie stick to take a picture of the whole family in our Easter clothes.
