Wildcat U

This past weekend, boys both had games, so Nana and Poppa came to watch them play.

Casen and I did a little fishing as well. While I did not catch a thing, he caught a small bass.

This evening, we headed to the high school for Wildcat U. Wildcat U is an event hosted by Tomball Memorial High School designed for 8th graders and their parents. It gives future students an early look at campus life, academic expectations, and Wildcat athletics as they prepare to transition into high school.

They had a commitment signing where each athlete signed to be a WILDCAT!

Casen signed his certificate and then we went and toured the athletic wing of the school, including the locker rooms and work out facility. I appreciated being able to see where Casen will be spending some of his time at school as he is planning on playing both high school football and baseball.

YMSL Banquet 2026

Camden and I attended the YMSL banquet this evening. It was a nice banquet acknowledging the boys and all the hours they have spent volunteering for local philanthropies.

Camden was acknowledged for serving over 25 hours this year.

At the banquet, everyone receives their jobs for next year. Casen will be joining us and his job will be the Class of 2030 President. :) Camden will be serving as the Sergeant of Arms and I will be one of the philanthropy calendar managers.

Class of 2028

I am really looking forward to having both boys being a part of YMSL next year and volunteering with them both.

Easter

With a three day weekend for Easter, we decided we would head to Kerrville to spend the weekend with my parents. But first, the Easter Bunny stopped by to see me at work. Cinnamon, a bunny from the district's science resource center, made his way around my office building Thursday spreading cheer.

Camden made a fun Easter candy bouquet in his floral design class.

Our weekend in Kerrville consisted of playing pickle ball, shopping, relaxing, visiting dad's bees and, of course, eating good.

There are two roadrunners that live near my parents and Shane got to witness one of the road runners snagging and enjoying a lizard.

Kerrville does not seem to get much rain, however it was rainy and cold this morning. Despite the crummy weather, we did the best we could obtaining a family picture. (Side note - my parents and I are not short people, however my boys make us look like we are! LOL)

Today also marks our 19th wedding anniversary.

When we got home, the boys found that the Easter Bunny had left them their baskets.

And just for documentation, I obtained another back to back picture . . . it looks like Camden may have grown a little.
