Roundrock

Camden and I left work and school early on Friday to head to Round Rock for a soccer showcase event. While we were heading to the Austin area, Casen and his choir were competing in their UIL competition.

Casen is right in the middle behind the two
boys holding their trophy.

Casen had been sick earlier in the week and stayed home with fever and congestion a few days. Friday was his first day back to school and we told him he did not have to go to the choir competition if he was not feeling well, however he did go. When Shane picked him up, the first thing he told Shane was that he was sick.

Poor guy!

Camden's first soccer game was Friday evening at 7:30 and it was so very windy and cold! I sat myself bundled up in my chair to the left of a pole to help block some of the wind. I didn't have the best view of the field, however I was able to see that Camden played well. Unfortunately, they lost the game with a score of 1-2.

Thank goodness for the pole that blocked
the brutal wind!

Camden's team had two games yesterday, winning the first 3-0 and tying the second, 1-1. When we weren't playing soccer, we were either eating or relaxing in our room.

This morning we arrived at the field at 7:00am for an 8:00am game. Fortunately, his team ended the weekend with another win!

While Camden played soccer, Casen played baseball all weekend. Casen woke up Saturday feeling better and ready to play ball. Despite not being 100%, he had a good hit and ended up pitching part of the first game (and pitched well). With his decreased stamina from being sick, the second game he did not seem to perform as well.

After Camden's 8:00 soccer game this morning, we made it back to Cypress in time for Camden to drop me off at the ball field so I could watch Casen play at noon and then again at 4:00.

So grateful I was able to watch a
few of Casen's games.
