Today was a stressful, but fun soccer Sunday. We were originally scheduled for Camden to have his game and then Casen's game was to follow his. We received an email yesterday asking if anyone wanted to play on the other 9U team which was to play after Casen's game. Shane told Coach Marc that Camden would be willing to play. So we headed to the soccer fields anticipating staying for 3 games. . . which we did. However, when we arrived Camden's team had only 6 players and needed 7 to play. Since Casen was there an ready, Coach Marc asked Casen to play. He was reluctant as these boys 2 -3 years older than him, but he did it. Coach Marc put him in the goalie position to start - talk about one stressed set of parents!!! I had no doubt he could hang with the big boys, but neither of the boys are a fan of being a goalie.

Stress yawn from Casen |
With Camden playing defender, Shane told him he would have to work hard to keep them form getting to Casen.Unfortunately, they scored two goals on Casen. When Coach Marc pulled Casen from goalie and had him playing mid field he did great. He stayed on those boys and worked hard. Camden of course played well and with no subs for the game, by the end they were both red faced, tired boys.
Casen then played the game with his original team and then Camden played the game after that with the team that was supposed to be short players (but had 3 subs).

Camden had his chance of playing goalie today too! :) |
It was a rare moment today with both boys playing on the same team. And while it was super stressful, I treasured every minute of it!
