Pre-Kindergarten Graduation

About a month ago, Camden was sent home with an invitation to his Pre-K Graduation. Talk about a reality check. Ready or not, it really was going to happen, but I had a month to prepare myself.

Well, today was the day and he was so excited. I on the other hand was a crying mess once the ceremony started. All the 'norms' we have known since he was 7 months old are all about to change and as ready as I am, there is a part of me that just can't believe the time is here.

My handsome graduate
The program started with the kids reciting the Pledge Of Allegiance as well as the Texas Pledge and then they sang multiple songs that showed different things they have learned while in Pre-K.

The teachers then showed an awesome slide presentation with pictures of the kids through out the year while they changed into their cap and gown.

And then it was time for them to receive their diplomas.

Mrs. Kathy has been Camden's teacher all year long. She has worked at the Early Learning Center  for years and was also Mason and Braden's Pre-K teacher.  Ms. Brenda has been Camden's other teacher for about 3 or 4 months, and though she was there just a short period of time, Camden really did enjoy her and he always talks about how she is constantly playing with them.

Camden was very fortunate to have so many of his family show up for his graduation. Every time he sees the picture with everyone that was at his graduation he can't believe how many people came. I tell him all the time how fortunate he is to have a family that loves and cares about him. I pray he always realizes that!

And of course we had to get a picture of Camden with Mrs. Caroline. She honestly has been my true constant ever since day one. She took care of Camden when he was in the infant room, moved up to the toddler room when he did and then when Casen came along she moved back to the infant room, then moved up with Casen to the toddler room and then this year to the 2's. I was hoping and praying she would have moved up to the 3's with Casen, but Casen has some 'challenging' kiddos in his room and she needs a break from then - which I completely understand. The good thing is, she will still be at the center and will see Casen daily and make sure he is behaving himself. Ms. Caroline has truly LOVED my children - even when they were unlovable. I never once worried about dropping them off at their school, knowing that regardless of what was going on, Ms. Caroline was there to love on them. I honestly hope she knows what a blessing she has been to not only our boys but to Shane and I as well.

started with in the infant room.
Camden received some fun things for graduation gifts, including a Lego set from us, a graduation dog with money from Melissa and her family, and money from Grandma and Grandpa Key. Like I said, he is very loved!

Camden, I honestly can't believe that you are about to enter into Kindergarten. We are so very proud of you and everything you have learned. I pray that you always love school and don't let your shyness hold you back from anything. I am certain that before we know it, we will be celebrating your high school graduation. So your much will happen between now and then and I can't wait to watch your life unfold. We love you!

Post Season T-Ball Party

Despite this past Saturday being our last game, today we had the end of the season T-ball party at Chuck-E-Cheese. The boys had fun playing games, eating pizza and cookie cake. Each player received a trophy, which Camden was thrilled about.

It Hurts When I Poop

Casen has done really well with potty training, however the pooping part is an issue. It is not that he poops in his underwear, he just doesn't like to poop at all. Despite Miralax daily, which has been part of his daily regimen since he was an infant, he will hoard his poop generally for a week or so and has gone as long as two weeks about a month ago. Part of the issue with this is, he will be uncomfortable for days, bouncing up and down or steadily moving his legs and still will do everything in his might not to poop until we finally 'make' him go. Shane is better at 'making' him go by basically putting him on the pot, and leaving him there until he goes, with some verbal convincing along the way. Casen is a crying, snotting hot mess through this process. It honestly is just NO FUN!!!!

Well, I was telling my friend Lorrie about this and she has a neighbor who went through the same thing and ended up getting a book to help her child. Lorrie thought anything was worth a shot, so today in the mail, Casen received his new book. I can't wait to see if this helps our issue!

Last T-Ball Game

Today marked the last game of Camden's T-ball season. I will say, with only two practices the whole season and the rest games the boys did a good job and learned a lot during the season. The rain played a factor in us not having more practices.

Camden and his daddy practiced many days on his hitting and fielding. Camden was able to show off his hitting during the games, hitting the ball farther than any of his other team mates, however fielding did not appear to be his forte'. He always stood baseball ready, however if the ball did not come within 2 feet of him, he would not go for the ball (unlike other kids who were ALL over the field). Aggressive, he was not, however Shane tells me that he was the same way when he played. Camden just seems to be so shy and gets embarrassed. Hopefully with age, he will out grow that and show everyone what a great little athlete he truly is.

Regardless, it was fun to watch him play and be part of the Tomball Little League U5 Cubs.

I love the little things he does while running -

Mother's Day 2015

This week I have felt a bit extra special due to all the celebrations that have taken place at my school, the boy's school and at home! Not only is this week Nurse's week, it has been teacher appreciation week as well as Mother's Day. Wednesday was Nurse's Day and as he does each year, Shane sent me flowers - which I LOVE, and my principal gave me my favorite bundtini from 'Nothing Bundt Cakes'.

As part of Teacher Appreciation week, each staff member received an awesome cupcake!

On Friday, at the boys school, they had 'Muffins with Mom'. I love that I have a job with a family oriented principal that is all about us being involved with our own families. I was able to drop the boys off and spend time with them as we had muffins and they each gave me a gift they had made. I loved not having to rush to get back to school and instead being able just to soak up this time with my boys.

Fun at the Oil Ranch

Ever since my nephew, Braden, went to a birthday party at the Oil Ranch and I heard you were able to milk a cow there, I have been chomping at the bit to go. Why you may ask??? Well because one of the things on my bucket list is to milk a cow. I know, crazy and not overly zealous, but it is just one of those things I have wanted to do for a long time!!!

Well, today was my lucky day. Camden was invited to a birthday party at the Oil Ranch, and honestly I am not certain who was more excited to go, me or him!!!! I can now say that I can check milking a cow off of my bucket list!

Milking a cow!!!!
Needless to say, we both had a great time. Camden's girl friend, Nina, who he has gone to school with since day one was there as well as several of his other classmates and they played together the entire time. He has told me that he is going to marry Nina one day - which I would have no problem with! :)
