Walking. . . . With a Walker
For weeks Casen's teachers at school, Ms. Karen and Ms. Kori, have reported to me that Casen was doing better with their walking. I honestly I had no idea what they were talking about because at home he does nothing but want to be held by his momma. (Can you say Momma's boy?) Anyway, we have encouraged him to walk at home, but generally he will just stick his hiney out and then sit down. Casen had an appointment with ECI on 10/28/13 at which time they told us it would be about 4 weeks until we would hear from a physical therapist. We are looking for any tricks or exercises we can do to help encourage this stubborn little boy! We have tried to get him to walk with his walker here at home which he will do nothing but sit behind it crying. That is until today! We were all doing our own thing this morning, when all of the sudden Casen was walking behind his walker all around the house. He was so proud, as were we!!!!

The Final Soccer Game of the Season
Today was Camden's final soccer game of the Fall 2013 season and he played very well. He was fortunate to have the biggest fan section there today with Nana, Poppa Ron, Kelsey, Shanelle, Gavin and Malachi there as well as Ms. Caroline. Then, it just so happened that Mason had a game on a field very close to the field Camden's game was on so Melissa, Shawn, Mason and Braden got to watch him play also. His team did awesome and I do believe the won (although we weren't keeping score).
Afterwards they had an end of the season party where they had cupcakes and snacks and each player received a trophy. I am very proud of Camden's first soccer season and am looking forward to the Spring season.

Soccer Game #8
Today was a beautiful day for a soccer game! Camden's coaches were out of town, so another dad and Shane did the coaching. Basically the other dad kept up with our players playing time and Shane did the actual coaching of the kiddos. It was fun watching he and Camden on the field together. Camden is really working hard and it has been fun to watch how much he has learned about the game of soccer over the past few months. He again scored several goals, although I think if you were keeping score, we lost by a few goals.
Camden had an extra fan at his game today - Lisa came and spent the weekend with us and was there to cheer him on!

Fall Festival
Generally, the Fall Festival at the boys school is the Friday before Halloween, however for whatever reason this year it was today. Camden was thrilled that he got to put on his football uniform again and Casen was just excited to play some games where he could throw some balls.

Tooth #11
Someone has two little white peaks poking out of his left lower gum. It appears that one of Casen's molars are making their way in and wreaking some havoc along the way. The tooth actually broke through on November 1st, however yesterday when I picked him up from school he had a temperature and had one through out the night, the highest being 101.8. He had no other symptoms aside from his gum being swollen from the tooth trying to break all the way through. We stayed home today and he was absolutely wonderful. I got a lot of snuggle time with him as well as a nap!
Tonight when we were brushing his teeth, I noticed something that appeared black in his new tooth. Thinking that it was a piece of food, I brushed it with his tooth brush. Apparently I was wrong, and instead it was a blood blister that I caused to pop and he had all sorts of blood in his mouth - along with crying. Talk about making me feel like a horrible mommy!!!!

Soccer Game #6 and #7
Camden had two games this weekend and can I tell you, he is definitely improving game by game. Shane has been working with him to get in front of the ball so that he could stop it, get the ball and head towards his team's goal and it is obvious he is trying. He scored multiple times during both games and more importantly had a great time! He even had some extra fans on the sidelines for Sunday's game, including Melissa, Shawn, Mason and Braden, and then two of our friends from church, Amber and Kory.
